For the first hour the Leeds team was: Paddy Kenny; Lee Peltier, Tom Lees, Danny Pugh, Stephen Warnock; David Norris, Paul Green, Michael Brown, Aidan White; Noel Hunt, Dominic Poleon. Then there was a complete change for the final thirty minutes when the team was: Alex Cairns; Zac Thompson, Ross Killock, Jason Pearce, Adam Drury; Rodolph Austin, Luke Murphy, Michael Tonge, Ross McCormack; Luke Varney, Matt Smith. For FC Domzale, Michel Nach Balokog came on at half-time for Kristjan Draksler. On the hour mark the remaining ten players were substituted with Nejc Vidmar coming on for goalkeeper Ajdin Mulalic, Ziga Kous for Lan Tirc, Nejc Skubic for Darko Zec, Gaber Dobrovoljc for Marko Kovjenic, and Drasco Bozovic for Jure Balkovec in defence, and Erik Janza for Rudi Pozeg Vancas, Jon Stankovic for Milos Mijic, Zan Majer for Igor Banovic and Goran Vuk for Aleks Pihler in midfield, and Slobodan Vuk for Josh Parker as the striker. United troubled the home side with the pace of Aidan White and Dominic Poleon, with the latter hitting the post. It was he who gave United the lead approaching the half hour mark when he shot home after a twenty-five yard Paul Green effort could only be parried by the home keeper, Ajdin Mulalic. In the fifty-fifth minute a shot rattled the underside of Paddy Kenny's crossbar but with the radical switch of the whole team United's performance deteriorated markedly. The 400 travelling Leeds fans saw a notable lift in the home team's game and Alex Cairns was soon under pressure. He did well to save from Slobodan Vuk but had to concede a corner. It was from that corner that the home team drew level as Slobodan Vuk found himself alone at the far post and accepted the easy header offered to give Alex Cairns no chance in the seventy-ninth minute. The Leeds keeper pushed another shot over the bar but with two minutes left on the clock there was little he could do when a weak effort from Vuk struck Ross Killock's leg and rolled into the net with the Leeds defence helpless. The Referee was Rade Pbrenovic of Ljubljana.
